Colonial
Reproduction, Leyden
"Building our home with Renaissance Builders was both an efficient
and creative process. We are so pleased with the outcome."
John & Barbara Wallace, Owners

Contemporary Home, Greenfield
A Contemporary is what you call it when it doesn't fit into any mold,
and that certainly describes this house. A steel beam supports the roof
over the kitchen, living room and dining room, allowing a completely open
feeling. Partial walls divide the spaces without closing them off.

"We have a house and a major summer house addition built by Renaissance
Builders. To the planning they brought great design skills, vision, imagination
and excitement. They were built with care and attention to detail by great
people to work with. We are happy customers!"
Ruth & Vin McHugh, Owners

Custom Home, Leverett
The design of this home incorporated timber harvested from the
land; and windows, doors and railings that the customers already owned.
Interior windows and a secret door (we won't say where - it's a secret!)
make up some of the fun details in this unique home.

Energy Crafted Home, Gill
Renaissance Builders built the model home for the Energy Crafted
Home Program (now called Energy Star Homes) and we've been building them
ever since, including this custom ranch in Gill. Over the years we've
incorporated many of the principles of the program into our standard building
practices, including air sealing, vapor barriers, and energy efficient
windows and doors.

Custom Home, Northfield
This custom home (another Energy Crafted Home) began as a sketch
on a home computer. We worked with the Owners to improve the original
concept, then designed a structure that exceeds building code standards
and easily passed the ECH tests. Said Dan & Lea, "We love the house!"

Custom Ranch Home, Greenfield
The library in this custom home moved three times (on paper) before finally
settling into an alcove off the living room. A simple footprint and an
Owner who knew what was essential to her - and what she could live without
- allowed for special details such as this without breaking the budget.

Custom Ranch Home, Northfield
This compact and efficient ranch (another ECH home) includes a separate
master suite, a spacious great room with adjacent galley kitchen, a guest
suite and a library. The house is sited well back from the road, providing
a pleasant view across an adjoining meadow.

Gambrel Style Farmhouse, Leyden
A cathedral ceiling and stone fireplace in the living room of this new
home make it an inviting gathering place. Half walls between the kitchen,
dining room and living room define the spaces while leaving them connected
for family interaction.

Custom Home, Gill
This house was several years in the planning, and after living in it for
5 years the Owners say there's only one thing they'd change. They intend
to replace the carpet in the living room with hardwood flooring. It's
a pleasure to have Owners who know what they want.
